Graziano D’Urso was born in Catania on March 30, 1990.

He began studying opera singing in 2014 under tenor Filippo Piccolo. Since May 2017, he has been represented in theater by the Opera Stage agency of Paulina Abber.

On May 31, 2017, he made his debut at the Teatro Sangiorgi in Catania in Paolo Altieri’s intermezzo “L’Amante Burlato”, playing the role of Tascadoro, a production of the Teatro Massimo Vincenzo Bellini (conducted by Salvatore Carchiolo and directed by Giovanni Grasso).

In July 2017, he was a semifinalist in the Accademia Verdiana competition at the Teatro Regio di Parma. That same month, he played Moralès in Georges Bizet’s “Carmen”, a production of the Mythos Opera Festival in Syracuse (conducted by Mirco Roverelli and directed by Enrico Stinchelli).

In September 2017, he performed at the Auditorium San Francesco in Lucca as Gellner and Dàrdano in selected pieces from Alfredo Catalani’s operas “La Wally” and “Dejanice” (conducted by Gianfranco Cosmi).

Between October and November 2017, he debuted as Renato and Silvano in Giuseppe Verdi’s “Un Ballo in Maschera” in Romania, Germany, and Austria, a production by the Compagnia d’Opera Italiana di Milano, in collaboration with the Teatro dell’Opera di Brașov (conducted by Traian Ichim and Luciano Alessandro Di Martino, directed by Corinna Boskovsky). During this tour, he also performed as Renato in Un Ballo in Maschera and Rigoletto in Rigoletto in four gala concerts.

In April 2018, he performed as Pasha Seid in Giuseppe Verdi’s “Il Corsaro” at the Sala dei Teatini in Piacenza for the Teatro Municipale’s opera season preview (conducted by Marco Beretta).

In June 2018, he was a semifinalist at the 56th Voci Verdiane Competition in Busseto, and on June 23, he won first prize at the 8th International Opera Singing Competition “Vincenzo Bellini” in Catania.

In August 2018, he played Cesare Angelotti and The Jailer in Giacomo Puccini’s “Tosca” at the Teatro Antico di Taormina, a production of Taormina Opera Stars (conducted by Gianna Fratta and directed by Bruno Torrisi).

Following this, he performed as Marchese d’Obigny in Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata” at the Teatro Antico di Taormina, a production of the Mythos Opera Festival (conducted by Filippo Arlia and directed by Antoniu Zamfir).

He is a permanent member of the ensemble at Italian Opera Live in Taormina, performing extensively at the Teatro San Giorgio, as well as at the Teatro Giuseppe Garibaldi in Modica and the Teatro Donnafugata in Ragusa for Ibla Classica International.

In May 2019, he reprised the role of Cesare Angelotti in Giacomo Puccini’s “Tosca” in Switzerland, a production by BoxOpera (conducted by Massimo Morelli and directed by Ulrich Peters).

On June 23, 2019, he was a guest soloist at the 3rd Edition of the škin’-Opera Festival in Kolomna, Russia, performing with the Voronezh Theater Orchestra (conducted by Yurij Anisichkin).

On July 12, 2019, he performed in Germany as Amonasro in Giuseppe Verdi’s “Aida”, a production by Opera Classica Europa (conducted by Adi Bar, with Michael Vaccaro as director and artistic director, featuring the Chorus and Orchestra of the Oleg Danovski National Theatre in Constanța).

On August 24, 2019, he played Lieutenant Zuniga in Georges Bizet’s “Carmen” at the Teatro Antico di Taormina, a production of Taormina Opera Stars (conducted by Gianna Fratta and directed by Carlo Antonio De Lucia).

On October 21, 2019, he graduated in opera singing with top honors from the Vincenzo Bellini Institute of Advanced Music Studies in Catania.

On December 9, 2019, he received the Domenico Danzuso Award for Music at Palazzo Biscari in Catania.

On December 14, 2019, he debuted as Bass Soloist in Vincenzo Bellini’s “Messa in La Minore” at the Church of San Giuliano in Catania, with the Chorus and Orchestra of the Vincenzo Bellini Institute of Advanced Music Studies.
